If you want to watch a film that takes place in Berlin after the Second World War and delves into the complexity of individuals to a level where labels like good and evil are no longer applicable and all people are people, watch The Reader. It is not without its flaws, and you may feel as though you have been stabbed with the knife left in, but it will challenge your moral grounds and the way you think, and keep you thinking about it for days after.
